About us

Free soccer access for kids who deserve a place to play.

Footy Friends Foundation is built around mentorship, newcomer support, and the simple joy of playing soccer together.

Our story

Meet the Founders

We’re brothers from a Latino background who have played soccer for most of our lives, so we know firsthand how expensive training and organized programs can be. We started Footy Friends to make free youth soccer more accessible in Kitchener-Waterloo and the GTA, and to give kids a place to meet others and form real friendships through soccer.

Our mission

Creating a safe, inclusive place for youth to move, learn, and connect.

At Footy Friends Foundation, we organize free soccer events and futsal programming for youth who are refugees, new immigrants, or come from low-income households. Our team is committed to a healthy and inclusive environment where participants can connect with peers while receiving mentorship from coaches and volunteers.

We believe soccer can bring communities together. Through free local programming, we promote physical activity, teamwork, leadership, and confidence so participants can thrive both on and off the field.
